Covid lockdowns turned buying plants into the next big pandemic trend. [ 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 ]

Many people started decorating with plants at home — plants make a home a cozier place, they bring joy, and they help their owners to relax. But sometimes, it can be difficult to choose a plant that will thrive or to learn about proper plant care.

I saw a great opportunity to present a solution for all plants lovers.

My Role

I was part of five-designers team. We were in different countries, and all communication took place online. This project took four weeks. I participated in all stages of product design — from initial brainstorming to market and user research, defining a list of scenarios, prioritizing the implementation of selected features, building information architecture, and visual design and prototyping. We implemented some stages of the process on a small scale due to time constraints. During the preparation of this case study, I developed some stages in more detail (e.g., creating a persona, usability testing).

Problem Statement

Successful products solve customers’ problems. We chose the following problem to solve: "I love houseplants, but they often die because I don’t know how to properly take care of them and I don’t want to spend a lot of time trying to find solutions."

Initial Research
